Short answer

Kajabi has free preset Testimonials sections for quotes you type in, and Common Ninja website widgets (the first one free). To collect student video testimonials and show them on a sales page, paste a tool's embed code into a Custom Code block: VideoTestimonials ($24/month, unlimited video), Senja ($29/month) or Famewall ($12/month billed yearly, mostly text).

Best Testimonial Widget for Kajabi (2026): 7 Options Compared

Prices checked on each vendor's own pricing page between 2026-09-29 and 2026-10-09. We update this page when a vendor changes a plan.

On Kajabi, the page that sells your course is where testimonials matter most: a prospective student wants to see that people like them finished the course and got the result. Kajabi gives you two native ways to show testimonials, and every third-party tool works through a Custom Code block. If you only have a few written quotes, Kajabi's own sections are enough. If you want students to record video testimonials and have them appear on the sales page without editing it each time, you need a testimonial tool.

How testimonials work on Kajabi

From Kajabi's help centre:

  • Custom Code block. Open the Website tab, select Pages and open the page editor. In the sidebar click Add Content and select Custom Code; the block appears at the bottom of the section. Hover over it, click Edit, paste the code into the Code field and click Save.
  • Width. A Custom Code block starts 6 columns wide. Widen it so the widget is not squeezed.
  • Where it works. Website pages, standalone landing pages and funnel pages built with Kajabi Pages and the Website Builder, including sales pages for an offer.
  • Security. Kajabi recommends scanning any custom code you add, with tools such as VirusTotal or Snyk.

The native options: Testimonials sections and website widgets

Preset Testimonials sections. Click Add Section and choose from Testimonials: a single testimonial (one Feature Block, 8 columns wide), two (6 columns each) or three (4 columns each). You fill in each quote, name and image by hand, and can add more blocks.

Website widgets. Kajabi's page builder includes widgets provided through Common Ninja, among them a Testimonials Slider, Reviews Badge, Reviews Trust Bar (ratings and reviews from multiple platforms) and Social Proof widget. Kajabi's help centre says widgets are an add-on to the base plan: the free tier allows 1 widget on 1 page, and more need a paid widget tier.

Kajabi's own help article on collecting reviews also walks through EmbedSocial, a review widget platform starting at €29/month, as its example of a third-party widget — and says any tool's embed code works the same way.

The native sections are right for a handful of quotes you already have. They do not ask students for testimonials, record video, or let you approve submissions; every change is a manual edit to the page.

What course creators should look for

  1. Video students can record without an account, from a link in a lesson or email.
  2. Approval before anything goes live on the sales page.
  3. Layouts that fit a sales page: a carousel near the price, a grid lower down.
  4. One collection per course or offer, if you sell more than one.
  5. A Wall of Love page you can link to from the sales page.

Not for: collecting testimonials or video.

How to add a testimonial widget to a Kajabi page

  1. In your testimonial tool, create a widget, choose the testimonials for this course, and copy the embed code.
  2. In Kajabi, open Website → Pages and edit the sales or landing page.
  3. In the section where testimonials should go, click Add Content → Custom Code.
  4. Hover over the block, click Edit, paste the code and click Save.
  5. Widen the block from its default 6 columns, save the page, and check it on mobile.

Getting testimonials from students in the first place

The widget is the easy part; the hard part is asking at the right moment. Three places work well on Kajabi:

  1. The last lesson. Add a short note and your collection link to the final lesson of the course, when the result is fresh.
  2. A completion or check-in email. Send it a week or two after someone finishes, when they have used what they learned.
  3. Your community. Post the link where students already share wins, and thank the first few publicly.

Keep the request to three questions — where they started, what changed, who they would recommend the course to — and say it takes about a minute. If you sell several courses, use a separate collection form, or a separate space, for each, so every sales page shows testimonials from its own students.

Where testimonials earn their place on a Kajabi site

  • Sales page, near the price: one short video from a student like your prospect.
  • Sales page, lower down: a grid of results, by outcome or by type of student.
  • Checkout-adjacent landing pages and funnels: a single quote that answers the main objection.
  • Inside the course: a link to record a testimonial in the final lesson, when the result is fresh.

For collection timing and questions, see testimonials for course creators and video testimonial questions.

Where VideoTestimonials fits

We are the pick when a Kajabi sales page needs students on video, collected from a link in your course and approved before they appear, at $24/month with 3 spaces for separate courses. We are not the pick for a few static quotes (Kajabi's own sections), the largest template library (Senja), or the cheapest written wall (Famewall). Read the Kajabi guide or compare plans. Yes. Create one widget per course or offer in your testimonial tool, choose the testimonials for each, and paste each widget's code into the matching page's Custom Code block.
