To add testimonials to Squarespace, edit the page, click Add block (or +), choose Code, set the Type menu to HTML and paste your VideoTestimonials embed code. Squarespace allows JavaScript and iframes in code blocks only on the Core, Plus, Advanced, Business, Commerce Basic and Commerce Advanced plans; on other plans, link to your hosted Wall of Love instead.

How to add testimonials to Squarespace

  1. 1In VideoTestimonials, open Studio → Widgets, open (or create) a widget, and copy the code from its Code tab (HTML / Script)

Where to put testimonials on Squarespace

A code block on any page

Testimonials on your homepage, a service page or a sales page.

  1. In VideoTestimonials, open Studio → Widgets, open (or create) a widget, and copy the code from its Code tab (HTML / Script).
  2. Edit the page or post.
  3. Hover over the section, click Add block or +, then click Code.
  4. Click the pencil icon on the block to open the block editor.
  5. In the Type menu, select HTML, and leave Display Source off.
  6. Paste the embed code into the text field and save the page.

If you don't see the widget while logged in, click Preview in Safe Mode — Squarespace sometimes hides embedded code from logged-in editors even though visitors see it.

On a plan without JavaScript

Your Squarespace plan isn't Core, Plus, Advanced, Business or Commerce, so code blocks can't run scripts or iframes.

  1. In VideoTestimonials, open Studio → Walls of Love, open your wall, click the share icon and copy the Public URL.
  2. In Squarespace, add a button or text link that points to that URL — for example, Read our customer stories.

Good to know before you start

  • JavaScript and iframes in code blocks need a Core, Plus, Advanced, Business, Commerce Basic or Commerce Advanced plan. Other plans support HTML and CSS only, which isn't enough for the widget.
  • Code in a page that sits inside an Index might not render; Squarespace suggests removing the page from the Index to test.
  • Squarespace sometimes hides embedded code from logged-in editors; use Preview in Safe Mode to check.

Why can't I see the widget when I'm logged in?

As a security measure, Squarespace sometimes doesn't show embedded code to logged-in editors even when visitors can see it. Click Preview in Safe Mode, or view the page logged out.

Can I show testimonials on a Squarespace plan without JavaScript?
