Salesforce integration
Sync video and text testimonials to the matching Salesforce contact, with custom fields and an optional completed task — direct OAuth, no Zapier.
Short answer
VideoTestimonials connects to Salesforce with OAuth and writes each testimonial to the Salesforce Contact with the same email address, creating the contact if none exists. It fills name, title and ten custom VT fields — rating, video URL, status and more — can add AI sentiment and tags, and can log a completed Task on the contact. Sync runs when a testimonial is submitted, approved or rejected. It's part of the Business plan.

- Set up in
- Dashboard → Integrations → Connect & Share → Salesforce
- Direction
- Testimonials flow one way, from VideoTestimonials to Salesforce Contacts. Changes in Salesforce don't flow back. Contacts can be imported from Salesforce on demand.
How to connect Salesforce
- 1In the dashboard, open Integrations → Connect & Share and choose Salesforce.
- 2Click Connect and log in to Salesforce at login.salesforce.com to approve access.
- 3On connect, VideoTestimonials creates ten custom Contact fields, such as VT_Testimonial_Rating__c, VT_Video_URL__c and VT_Sentiment__c.
- 4Under Sync Settings, turn on Enable Auto-Sync and choose the triggers: Sync on testimonial created, Sync on testimonial approved, and Sync on status change (rejected/archived).
- 5Optionally turn on Include AI insights and Create timeline tasks, and adjust Field Mapping.
- 6Use Manual Sync to push all approved testimonials in a space, and Sync History to check results.
Available on Business plan ($79/month).
When it runs

| Testimonial rejected | When Sync on status change is on. |
| Manual sync | One testimonial, a selection, or every approved testimonial in a space. |
What gets sent to Salesforce
- Matching
- The Contact is found by email and updated, or created if it doesn't exist.
- Standard fields
- FirstName, LastName and Title. The testimonial's company goes to Department, because the Contact object has no company field.
- Custom fields
- VT_Testimonial_Rating__c, VT_Testimonial_Type__c, VT_Testimonial_Status__c, VT_Video_URL__c, VT_Testimonial_Date__c and VT_Testimonial_Count__c.
- AI fields (optional)
- VT_Sentiment__c, VT_Sentiment_Score__c, VT_Testimonial_Tags__c and VT_Authenticity_Score__c.
- Task (optional)
- A completed Task on the contact with the testimonial's type, rating, status, text, AI summary, sentiment, tags and video URL.
- Contacts from Salesforce
- Import Salesforce Contacts into a space's contact list to send them testimonial requests.
Good to know
- Only the Contact object is written — not Leads, Accounts or Opportunities.
- Connects through login.salesforce.com, so production orgs are supported; sandbox orgs are not.
- A testimonial without an email address can't be matched to a contact.
- One Salesforce org per VideoTestimonials account.
Salesforce integration: frequently asked questions
Does it sync to Leads or Contacts?
Contacts. Each testimonial updates the Salesforce Contact with the same email address, or creates one.
Does it work with a Salesforce sandbox?
No. The connection uses login.salesforce.com, which is for production orgs.
Where does the testimonial's company go?
To the Contact's Department field, since the Contact object has no company field. Field Mapping lets you choose a different field.
Does the Salesforce integration need Zapier?
No. It's a direct OAuth connection.
