Short answer

To embed testimonials with VideoTestimonials, open Dashboard → Studio → Widgets, click New Widget, pick one of 17 widget types, adjust it in the Design tab, then copy the snippet from the Code tab into your site's HTML. The snippet is a div plus a script tag that loads your approved testimonials. Free accounts get the Grid widget; the other types need Starter or higher.

Types of Widgets You Can Embed

The widget picker offers 17 types, sorted by its filter pills: Grids (Grid, Quote Grid, Image Gallery), Scrolling (Carousel, Marquee, Ticker), Hero (Single, Hero Quote, Highlight, Spotlight) and Compact (Trust Badge, Rating Badge, Avatars, Social Star, Logo Bar, Popup, Bubbles). Steps to Embed Widgets

Follow these steps to embed a widget on your website:

Step 1: Access the Embed Studio

Log in to your VideoTestimonials account at https://app.videotestimonials.video.
Navigate to your space where you want to embed the widget.

Step 2: Open the Embed Studio

Go to Dashboard → Studio → Widgets.
Click New Widget to open the widget builder, or open an existing widget from the list.

The widget builder opens on the Widgets tab.
Choose the type of widget you want to embed (for example Carousel, Grid or Single) by selecting it from the options provided.

After selecting a widget type, open the Design tab to customize its design and settings to match your website's look and feel.
Adjust settings such as colors, fonts, and layout options as needed.

Step 5: Generate Embed Code

Once you are satisfied with your widget's appearance, open the Code tab in the widget builder.
Under HTML / Script, click Copy Code to copy the embed code to your clipboard.

Step 6: Embed the Code on Your Website

Open the HTML editor of your website where you want the widget to appear.
Paste the embed code into the desired location on your webpage.
Save your changes and refresh your website to see the widget in action!

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to update the embed code after I change a widget's design?

Yes. The snippet carries the widget's settings as data attributes, so changes to colors, layout or card style only reach your site after you copy the code from the Code tab again and replace the old snippet. Newly approved testimonials appear without re-pasting, because the script loads them every time the page opens.

Can I embed a widget on Google Sites, Wix or WordPress?

Yes. The HTML / Script option in the Code tab works in builders that accept custom HTML, such as WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Framer and Carrd. Google Sites blocks script embeds, so use the URL / iFrame option and paste the URL into Embed by URL. The URL version keeps the widget type, theme, accent color and testimonial count, but not every design setting.

Which testimonials does an embedded widget show?

Only approved testimonials, never pending or rejected ones, and not reviews imported from other sites such as Google, G2 or social posts, which appear on your Wall of Love instead. Auto-add mode includes new approved testimonials automatically and can narrow them by type, minimum rating (3, 4 or 5 stars) and AI tags (Pro or Business).
