To add testimonials to WooCommerce product pages on a block theme, go to Appearance → Editor → Templates → WooCommerce, open the Single Product template, add a Custom HTML block with your VideoTestimonials embed code, and save. Every product that uses the template shows the widget. For a single page, add the Custom HTML block to that page instead.

Where to put testimonials on WooCommerce

On every product page (Single Product template)

Testimonials below the product details on every product, without editing products one by one.

  1. In VideoTestimonials, open Studio → Widgets, open (or create) a widget, and copy the code from its Code tab (HTML / Script).
  2. From your WP Admin dashboard, navigate to Appearance > Editor.
  3. Click Templates, then click WooCommerce in the left sidebar.
  4. Open the Single Product template, which defines the layout of individual product pages.
  5. Add a Custom HTML block where the testimonials should appear (click the Block Inserter or type /html) and paste the embed code.
  6. Save the template. Every product page that uses it now shows the widget.

On a single page

  3. Paste the embed code and update the page.

Good to know before you start

  • Template editing in Appearance > Editor needs a block theme; with a classic theme, add the widget to a page or widget area instead.
  • Editing the Single Product template changes every product page that uses it.
  • WordPress strips script tags saved by users without the unfiltered_html capability.
