Import testimonials manually with a screenshot

Updated

Short answer

VideoTestimonials turns screenshots of emails, DMs or reviews into testimonials. Go to Dashboard → Import → Manual, open the Screengrabs tab, drop one or more JPEG, PNG or WebP images and click Import testimonial. Each screenshot becomes its own approved testimonial with the image attached, and AI reads the quote plus the reviewer's name, role and rating when they're visible.

Sometimes a great testimonial shows up in an email, a DM, a Zoom chat, or a closed community where no public URL exists. Upload a screenshot and VideoTestimonials will import it as an image-style testimonial.

How to import a screenshot

  1. Go to Dashboard → Import → Manual.
  2. Click the Screengrabs tab.
  3. Drag and drop one or more screenshots, or click to upload. PNG, JPG, or WebP all work.
  4. VideoTestimonials reads each screenshot with AI and fills in the quote, plus the reviewer's name, role, and star rating when it can find them.
  5. Click Import testimonial — each screenshot becomes its own testimonial, stored with its image.

What gets stored

  • The original screenshot as the testimonial's media (one testimonial per screenshot).
  • The testimonial in your dashboard, already approved and ready to tag or add to a Wall of Love.

The quote is extracted when you import. If nothing can be read, the testimonial is saved with the placeholder text "[Screengrab — pending text extraction]" and the name "Screenshot Import", which you can edit. You can also highlight quotes on the testimonial later.

Tips

  • Crop the screenshot before upload to remove chrome, UI, or unrelated content.
  • Higher resolution captures reproduce better on your Wall of Love.
  • For video chat screenshots, pair with a text testimonial tab for the caption and add the screenshot under the Text testimonial tab's optional images.
