Import testimonials from Twitter / X

Short answer

VideoTestimonials imports a public tweet from its URL. Go to Dashboard → Import → Social Media, click Twitter, paste an x.com or twitter.com status link and click Import. You get the full tweet text, author name, handle and avatar, and the tweet shows as an embedded post on your Wall of Love. Imported tweets are approved immediately. On Free, social imports stop once a space holds 15 text testimonials.

You can import any public tweet as a testimonial in a single click. We fetch the full tweet text, author name, avatar, and the official embed so the tweet renders properly on your Wall of Love.

How to import a tweet

Go to Dashboard → Import → Social Media.
Click the Twitter platform button.
Paste the tweet URL — for example https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1234567890.
Click Import. That's it.

The tweet is imported as an approved testimonial and appears as a card on the Social Media tab marked On wall (click that badge to take it off the wall). It's also listed in your Overview tab, where you can edit it or add tags.

What gets imported

✅ The tweet embed, so it renders with its media on your Wall

Tips

For tweets with videos, the embed plays the video natively. You don't need to download anything.
For tweets containing quote tweets, only the main tweet's text is imported.
If a tweet was deleted, we can't import it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I import a tweet from a private or protected account?

No. The import reads the tweet through public services (the fxtwitter API and Twitter's oEmbed endpoint), so protected, deleted or otherwise non-public tweets fail with Failed to fetch post. For those, take a screenshot and upload it on the Screengrabs tab under Dashboard → Import → Manual.

Can I import many tweets at once?

Not from a list of URLs; the Twitter button imports one tweet per URL. To find several at once, open the Auto-discovered sub-tab on the Social Media tab, enter your business name and X handle, click Discover Now, and import the posts you like with Import as testimonial.

Does the import keep the original tweet date?

No. The testimonial records when you imported it, not when the tweet was posted. The embedded tweet on your Wall of Love is rendered from the original post on X, so it still shows the tweet as people saw it, including any photos or video.

Is there a limit on how many tweets I can import for free?

On the Free plan, social imports are blocked once the space already has 15 text testimonials, whatever their source. Each imported tweet also counts toward the Free plan's 15 web imports used by the Reviews & Other tab. Starter and higher plans remove both caps.
