Import testimonials from Amazon

Short answer

VideoTestimonials imports Amazon product reviews from a product page URL. In Dashboard → Import → Reviews & Other, click Amazon, paste a link such as amazon.com/dp/B0XXXXXXXX and click Import testimonials. Amazon pages are fetched through a browser with residential proxies, the scraper pages through the reviews, and you tick the ones to keep. On Free, review-site imports stop once your account holds 15 imported testimonials.

If you sell on Amazon, your verified-purchase reviews are some of the strongest social proof you have. Import them into VideoTestimonials to use them on your own site.

How to import Amazon reviews

  1. Go to Dashboard → Import → Reviews & Other.
  2. Click the Amazon tile and paste your Amazon product listing URL, for example https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0XXXXXXXX.
  3. Click Import testimonials, then tick the reviews you want and click Import.

Supported URL formats

  • Product page: https://www.amazon.com/dp/<ASIN>
  • Product page with slug: https://www.amazon.com/<product-name>/dp/<ASIN>
  • Amazon blocks scrapers on its separate product-reviews page, so use the product page.
  • Other Amazon domains (.co.uk, .de, .co.jp etc.) are accepted too.

What gets imported

  • Review text, with the review title on top when the page shows one
  • Reviewer display name
  • Star rating (out of 5)
  • Review date and reviewer photo, when available

Amazon's anti-scraping protection

Amazon blocks many scrapers. VideoTestimonials routes amazon.com requests through a browser with a residential proxy to fetch reviews. If an import fails, wait a few minutes and try again.
