The Welcome screen — form builder

Configure the landing page your customer sees when they open your form.

Updated

The Welcome screen is the first thing your customer sees when they open your collection link. A good Welcome screen lifts your conversion rate more than any other single change.

Open the settings

Click WELCOME PAGE on the form canvas. The right sidebar exposes:

  • Page title — the headline. Keep it short. Second-person works best ("Share your experience with Acme").
  • Message — one line of supporting copy. Explain what they'll get or how long it'll take.
  • Call to action — the CTA button copy. Make it action-oriented ("Record a video", "Share my story").
  • Intro video — upload a video file or record a clip directly in the builder. The poster image is auto-generated from the first frame.

Tips for higher conversion

  • Under 15 words in the Message. More than that and people bounce.
  • A 20–30 second founder video outperforms everything else.
  • Set expectations in the message — "Takes 60 seconds" or "Just 2 questions".
  • Design (accent color, fonts, logo) is set at the form level in the Design tab, not per-page.
