Every form in VideoTestimonials offers both video and text responses — the customer picks Record a video or Respond with text when they open your link. Text testimonials are lower friction than video — perfect for B2B, quick post-purchase surveys, and customers who don't want to be on camera.
1. Create (or open) the form
- Open Dashboard → Forms at https://app.videotestimonials.video/dashboard/forms.
- Click the + button to create a new form, or open an existing one.
- Give it a name and optional description — you're dropped into the form builder.
2. Configure the pages
Every form has the same page blocks. On the customer side they'll see a choice between Record a video and Respond with text — for a text-focused flow you typically:
- Keep Welcome to set context.
- Keep Rating (optional but valuable).
- Questions — choose the question type for each: short text, long text, NPS, checkbox, yes/no, or dropdown.
- Keep About You and About Company to capture attribution.
- Keep Consent (required before publishing).
- Keep Thank You (configure under Thank You page settings).
3. Save and share
Click Save changes at the top right of the builder. Saves are instant and the form is live — no separate publish step. Grab the public URL from the form's Trigger tab and share it.
