Approve testimonials

Short answer

New testimonials in VideoTestimonials arrive as Pending unless the form has Auto-approve testimonials turned on in its Settings tab. Approve them on a space's Overview tab with the Approve button on the card or detail page, or click Select, tick several and choose Approve in the bar. Only approved testimonials appear on your Wall of Love, widgets and other public pages.

Add testimonials to your wall by approving them.

How to approve

  1. Go to Overview at https://app.videotestimonials.video/dashboard/overview. This is where all your testimonials live.

  1. Find the testimonial you want to approve. Click it to open the detail view and review the content, rating, and submitter details.

  2. Click Approve — the testimonial's status changes to Approved and it appears on any Wall of Love set to Auto-add (Manual walls show only the testimonials you pick) and becomes available to your embedded widgets. Pending cards in the Overview list also have Approve and Reject buttons, so you can approve without opening the detail view.

You can bulk-approve by clicking Select above the Overview list, ticking multiple testimonials, and clicking Approve in the bulk action bar that appears at the bottom.

Approved testimonials are the only ones that show on your public pages, widgets, and wall — so this is the gating step before anything goes live.

Edit testimonial content

Open a testimonial and click Edit to change its name, company, job title, website, rating, answers or text. Email, company and website also edit inline.

Organize with tags and filters

Add tags with Add a tag on a testimonial's detail page, then narrow the Overview list with the status tabs and the Filters panel.

Bulk delete testimonials

On a space's Overview tab, click Select, tick testimonials (or All), click Delete in the bar at the bottom and confirm. Up to 100 per batch.

Feature testimonials on your Wall of Love

In the Wall builder, switch Testimonials to Manual and move a testimonial to the top, or turn on Hero Section in Design and pick it as the Hero Testimonial.
