Create your first collection form

Short answer

In VideoTestimonials, go to Dashboard → Forms, click Create New Form, enter a Form Name and optional description, and click Create Form. The form builder opens with Form, Settings, Emails, Reward and Trigger tabs. New forms collect video and text and are active right away; click Save Changes after editing and copy the Share Link from the Trigger tab.

Steps to Create Your First Collection Form

Access the Forms Dashboard
Navigate to the forms dashboard to manage your collection forms.

Initiate Form Creation
Click the + Create New Form button in the top-right of the Forms page. A modal opens.

Enter Form Details
- Name: Provide a name for your form. This helps you identify it later.
- Description: Optionally, add a description to give more context about the form's purpose.
Submit the Form
After entering the details, click Create Form in the modal. You'll be redirected to the form builder.
Customize Your Form
In the form editor, you can add questions, set up video prompts, and configure settings like video duration and testimonial type (video or text).
Save and Activate
Once you are satisfied with the setup, click Save Changes. New forms start as Active, so they collect testimonials right away; you can switch a form between Active and Inactive on the Forms page. Copy the Share Link from the Trigger tab to send it to customers.

Frequently asked questions

How many collection forms can I create?

Per space, the Free plan allows 1 form, Starter 3, Pro 10 and Business unlimited. When you reach the limit, the Forms page shows a Form Limit Reached message and asks you to upgrade before you can create or duplicate another form.

How long can a video testimonial be?

Each form has its own limit, set in the form builder's Settings tab under Maximum Video Duration. The default is 120 seconds and you can choose anything from 10 to 300 seconds. The recorder stops automatically when the limit is reached.

Can I stop a form from accepting new testimonials?

Yes. On the Forms page, click the Active badge on the form to switch it to Inactive. Visitors then see a This form is closed message, and submissions are refused until you switch the form back to Active.
