# Trustpilot Alternatives in 2026: 8 Options Compared on Price, Contracts and Who Owns the Reviews

> Eight Trustpilot alternatives compared on what actually differs: contracts, price per domain, review invitations, where the reviews live, and whether you need a review platform at all. Prices read from each vendor's own site.

**Short answer:** The closest Trustpilot alternative is Reviews.io: product and company reviews from $29/month, billed monthly. To show reviews you already have, Trustindex costs $65 a year. For video testimonials on your own site, VideoTestimonials is $24/month. Trustpilot itself starts from $99/month, billed upfront annually on a 12-month contract.

**Prices checked** on each vendor's own pricing page between 2026-10-03 and 2026-10-08. We update this page when a vendor changes a plan.

Trustpilot is the review site most shoppers recognise, and for some businesses that badge is worth a lot. Most people looking for an alternative have hit one of three things: **a 12-month prepaid contract, pricing per domain, and a monthly cap on review invitations**. This page compares eight alternatives, says which kind of tool each one is, and says when staying on Trustpilot is the better call.

One thing to settle first: a review platform and a testimonial tool do different jobs. Trustpilot, Reviews.io, Yotpo and Birdeye collect public reviews and publish them on a third-party site or in your store. A testimonial tool collects stories you own and publish on your own site. Several businesses need both.

## Why people leave Trustpilot

1. **12-month contracts** — All contracts are a 12-month commitment, paid up front.
2. **Priced per domain** — Plus (from $319/month) and Premium (from $799/month) are priced per domain, billed annually.
3. **Review invitations are capped monthly** — 50 on the free account, 100 on Starter, 300 on Plus, 1,000 on Premium.

Two more lines on its pricing page matter. The Starter plan is "designed for small businesses (up to $5M revenue)" and "available to new customers only", and Trustpilot builds the final quote from site traffic, business size per domain and annual revenue. The price you see is a "from" price.

None of this matters if your customers already look you up on Trustpilot and the free account covers you. Trustpilot's free plan includes 50 review invitations a month and your public profile page, and its FAQ says your reviews stay on that page if you stop paying. The reasons to leave start when you are paying for a year up front and using a fraction of it.

## The 8 alternatives, reviewed

### 1. Reviews.io — the closest like-for-like review platform

Reviews.io does the same core job as Trustpilot: it invites customers to review you and displays company and product reviews on your site. Essentials is $29/month for up to 300 review invites, with product and company reviews, photo and video collection, automated collection and 15+ on-site widgets. Start-Up at $79/month adds Google Seller Ratings, Google rich snippets, review importing and third-party review collection. Grow at $175/month adds a reputation manager, AI review summaries and competitor analysis.

Two things set it apart for a Trustpilot customer. There is a 14-day free trial and monthly billing, with 20% off if you pay annually. And its pricing page offers to buy out the remainder of a contract with another reviews provider.

**Choose it if** you want a review platform with Google Seller Ratings, without a year's commitment up front.

**Not for:** several domains on one plan. Like Trustpilot, Reviews.io treats each top-level domain as a separate subscription.

### 2. VideoTestimonials — testimonials you own, with your Trustpilot reviews imported

VideoTestimonials is our product, and it is a different kind of tool. Customers open a link and record a video or write a testimonial in the browser, with no app and no account. You approve it and publish it to a Wall of Love or one of 18 widget layouts on your own site. Reviews you already have come in from 18 sources, Trustpilot and Google included: paste your Trustpilot business page URL and pick the reviews to import.

Against Trustpilot, the trade is clear. You get monthly billing from $24, unlimited video, three spaces and no branding on Starter, and testimonials that live on your domain. You do not get a public profile on an independent review site, a TrustScore or Google Seller Ratings.

**Choose it if** the reviews you need are the ones on your own landing pages, and video would make them stronger.

**Not for:** replacing an independent review profile that customers check before they buy. Keep the free Trustpilot account for that and use us on your site.

### 3. Trustindex — show the reviews you already have, for $65 a year

If what you pay Trustpilot for is mainly the widget on your site, Trustindex may be all you need. It pulls reviews from 133 platforms, Google and Trustpilot among them, into widgets. Single is $65/year for one company with unlimited websites, widgets and views. It can also send review-request emails and QR codes that point customers to the review platforms, and it offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

**Choose it if** your reviews already exist on Google or elsewhere and you want them on your site for the least money.

**Not for:** video testimonials. Its pricing page lists reviews with video as in progress, and paid plans are billed yearly up front.

### 4. Judge.me — product reviews for Shopify stores

For online stores, the Trustpilot question is often really a product-review question. Judge.me's free plan includes unlimited product and store reviews, photo and video reviews, automated review requests after fulfilment and rich snippets for Google. Awesome at $15/month adds Google Shopping, Q&A, coupons and referrals, and AI replies and summaries. Its pricing page says $15 a month is the most you can ever pay, with no scaling by order volume.

**Choose it if** you sell on Shopify and want product stars on product pages and Google Shopping.

**Not for:** service businesses, or reviews of your company rather than a product.

### 5. Yotpo — ecommerce reviews priced by orders

Yotpo sells Reviews & UGC as one product among several, priced by your store's monthly orders. There is a limited free plan for up to 50 orders a month. Starter is $15/month at the lowest volume, $89 at 500 orders and $129 at 1,000. Seller ratings and AI display features start on Pro, and AI review summaries and retail syndication sit on the custom-quoted Premium plan. Loyalty & Referrals is a separate product.

**Choose it if** you run a growing online store and want reviews and loyalty from one vendor.

**Not for:** predictable pricing. Your bill moves with your order volume.

### 6. NiceJob — more Google reviews for local service businesses

Many local businesses use Trustpilot to get more reviews, when the reviews that drive their calls are on Google. NiceJob is built around that. Starter at $75/month sends SMS and email review requests, adds review widgets to your site, auto-shares reviews to Facebook and X, ranks staff on a leaderboard and gives you a reviews microsite. Pro at $125/month adds repeat-customer campaigns, referrals, AI replies, NPS surveys and competitor tracking. There are no contracts and a 14-day free trial.

**Choose it if** you are a home-service or local business and your goal is more Google reviews.

**Not for:** ecommerce product reviews, or a small budget.

### 7. Birdeye — reputation management for many locations

Birdeye describes itself as AI coworkers for multi-location brands. Reviews sit alongside listings, social posting, webchat, appointment booking, surveys and ticketing, sold as "one platform, one contract" priced around what you deploy at your locations. Its pricing page asks for your number of locations and contact details before it shows a price, so there is no published figure to compare.

**Choose it if** you run many locations and want reviews, listings and messaging managed in one place.

**Not for:** a single business that wants a price before a sales call.

### 8. Senja — a polished testimonial tool that imports reviews

Senja is the best-known testimonial tool, and like us it collects testimonials you own rather than public reviews. It imports reviews and posts from other platforms and keeps them in sync from Starter. Starter at $29/month includes unlimited testimonials, video included, with 3 forms, 1 project, 2 team seats, a custom domain, and the API, webhooks and Zapier. The free plan holds 15 testimonials.

**Choose it if** you want a mature testimonial tool with seats and integrations on the entry plan, for one brand.

**Not for:** several brands on Starter, or a public review profile.

### Staying on Trustpilot

Stay if your customers recognise and check Trustpilot, especially in consumer markets where its badge carries weight, and you use what you pay for: the invitations, the widgets and the marketing assets for ads. If you are on a paid plan mainly for the website widget, the free account plus a display or testimonial tool will usually cost less. Remember that the 12-month term is prepaid, so plan any move for your renewal date.

## Which to pick

| If you need… | Pick… | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Another review platform, billed monthly | Reviews.io | Company and product reviews from $29/month |
| Video testimonials on your own site | VideoTestimonials | Unlimited video from $24/month, Trustpilot reviews imported |
| Your existing reviews on your site, cheaply | Trustindex | $65 a year, 133 platforms |
| Product reviews on a Shopify store | Judge.me | Free, $15/month at most |
| Reviews and loyalty for a growing store | Yotpo | Priced by orders, free up to 50 a month |
| More Google reviews for a local business | NiceJob | SMS and email requests, no contract |
| Many locations in one platform | Birdeye | Reviews, listings and messaging together |
| A polished testimonial tool for one brand | Senja | $29/month Starter, 2 seats |
| A recognised public review profile | Stay on Trustpilot | Free account or a paid plan |

## How to move from Trustpilot

You do not have to delete anything. Your Trustpilot profile and its reviews stay public whether or not you pay, so the usual pattern is to keep the free account, let the paid plan run to its renewal date, and move the on-site widget to whichever tool you choose. If you import Trustpilot reviews into another tool, show them with their source and date so visitors can see where they came from.

## Where VideoTestimonials fits

We are the better choice when what you need from Trustpilot is proof on your own site: video and written testimonials you collect through a link, approve and publish, with your Trustpilot and Google reviews imported next to them, for $24 a month with no contract. We are not the better choice if you need an independent public review profile, Google Seller Ratings, or product reviews tied to orders. For those, Reviews.io, Judge.me or Trustpilot itself fit better.

## Frequently asked questions

### What is the best Trustpilot alternative?

It depends on the job. For another review platform with company and product reviews, Reviews.io, from $29/month with a 14-day trial and no annual lock-in on the monthly plan. For video testimonials you own on your own site, VideoTestimonials at $24/month. For Shopify product reviews, Judge.me, which is free with a $15/month upper plan.

### How much does Trustpilot cost?

Trustpilot has a free account with 50 review invitations a month. Paid plans start with Starter from $99/month, Plus from $319 and Premium from $799 per domain, all billed upfront annually on a 12-month commitment. Enterprise is priced by sales.

### Is there a free alternative to Trustpilot?

Several. Your Google Business Profile collects reviews for free and is where most local customers look. Judge.me is free for Shopify product and store reviews. VideoTestimonials has a free plan for 20 text and 10 video testimonials. Trustpilot itself also has a free account with 50 invitations a month.

### Can I pay for Trustpilot monthly?

Not at first. Trustpilot's pricing page says all contracts are a 12-month commitment, and its FAQ says the initial term is 12 months, prepaid. Reviews.io, NiceJob and VideoTestimonials all sell monthly plans.

### What happens to my reviews if I stop paying Trustpilot?

According to Trustpilot's FAQ, nothing — your reviews stay on your Trustpilot profile page. That is also the catch. The reviews live on Trustpilot's domain, under its rules, and you cannot take them with you to another review platform as Trustpilot reviews.

### Can I show my Trustpilot reviews on my own site without paying for Trustpilot?

Yes, with a display or import tool. Trustindex shows reviews from 133 platforms for $65 a year. VideoTestimonials imports Trustpilot reviews from your business page URL and shows them next to the video testimonials you collect, from its free plan.

### Does Trustpilot collect video testimonials?

Its pricing page lists review invitations, widgets, integrations and marketing assets, not video testimonials. If you want customers on camera, use a testimonial tool alongside it, or instead of it.

### Trustpilot or Reviews.io?

Trustpilot if brand recognition of the Trustpilot name matters in your market and you can commit for a year. Reviews.io if you want company and product reviews, Google Seller Ratings from its $79 Start-Up plan, and monthly billing. Reviews.io also offers to buy out the rest of an existing reviews contract.
