# Best Video Review Apps for Ecommerce (2026): 8 Tools Compared

> Eight apps for collecting video reviews and testimonials for an online store, compared on video limits, order-based pricing, Google Shopping, free plans and price. Product review apps and testimonial tools, from each vendor's own pricing page.

**Short answer:** For product reviews with video on a Shopify store: Judge.me (video reviews free, Awesome at $15/month), Loox (video from Convert at $49.99/month) or Okendo (from $19/month by orders). For brand-level video testimonials not tied to an order, on any store: VideoTestimonials ($24/month, unlimited video). Reviews.io suits stores that want Google Seller Ratings.

**Prices checked** on each vendor's own pricing page between 2026-10-03 and 2026-10-08. We update this page when a vendor changes a plan.

Online stores have two kinds of customer video to collect. **Product reviews** are tied to an order: a star rating and a short clip on the product page, often fed into Google Shopping. **Video testimonials** are about the brand: a customer explaining what changed for them, usable on the homepage, in ads and in email. Review apps such as Judge.me and Loox are built for the first; testimonial tools such as VideoTestimonials, our product, for the second. This page compares eight across both.

## What to look for

1. **Video on which plan.** Some apps include video reviews free; others hold them for a mid-tier plan.
2. **Order-based pricing.** Most review apps charge by monthly orders, so the bill grows with the store.
3. **Google Shopping and rich snippets**, so star ratings appear in search and shopping ads.
4. **Review requests** sent automatically after delivery, with reminders.
5. **Display on product pages**: video carousels, galleries and media in the review list.
6. **Incentives**, such as a discount for a photo or video review.
7. **Platform.** Most are built for Shopify; check yours.

## The 8 apps, reviewed

### 1. Judge.me — free video reviews

Judge.me's Forever Free plan includes unlimited review requests, photo and video reviews and SEO rich snippets, which makes it the default choice for a new store. Awesome at $15/month adds AI features, Google Shopping, referrals and full customisation, and its widgets include a video carousel.

**Choose it if** you want product video reviews on a Shopify store for free or very little.

**Not for:** testimonials that are not tied to an order.

### 2. Loox — photo-first reviews, video on Convert

Loox is built around visual reviews. Its free Beginner plan includes review request emails, a discount for photo reviews and multilingual support, for up to 500 total orders. Video reviews start on Convert at $49.99/month, which also adds Google Shopping, referrals, AI review highlights and stories, and removes Loox branding. Unlimited at $299.99/month removes the request and referral limits.

**Choose it if** your products sell on how they look and photos and video matter most.

**Not for:** video reviews on a free plan.

### 3. Okendo — reviews, loyalty and referrals in one

Okendo's Shopify listing describes five connected apps — reviews, loyalty, surveys, quizzes and referrals — and lists photo reviews, video reviews, testimonials, carousels and media galleries among its display options. Its review plans are priced by monthly orders: free up to 50, Essential at $19/month up to 200, Growth at $119/month up to 1,500.

**Choose it if** you are an established Shopify brand that wants reviews and loyalty from one vendor.

**Not for:** stores outside Shopify, or a small budget at higher order volumes.

### 4. Stamped — photo and video UGC with Q&A

Stamped's Reviews product collects reviews in email, includes customisable on-site widgets, integrates with Google and Klaviyo, and lists photo and video UGC collection, Q&A and AI sentiment analysis. Its pricing selector shows Reviews at $23/month for 200 orders a month; its FAQ says plans start at $199 per month for a single product, and smaller brands are pointed to its Shopify App Store listings.

**Choose it if** you want reviews alongside Stamped's loyalty and repeat-purchase products.

**Not for:** stores outside Shopify.

### 5. Yotpo — reviews and UGC at scale

Yotpo's Reviews & UGC product has a limited free plan for up to 50 orders a month, then Starter from $15/month at the lowest volume, rising with orders. AI review summaries, translation and syndication are on custom-quoted plans. Its pricing page does not list video reviews as a separate feature, so check the plan you are quoted.

**Choose it if** you want reviews and loyalty from one large vendor.

**Not for:** a predictable bill as orders grow.

### 6. Reviews.io — product and company reviews, Google Seller Ratings

Reviews.io collects product and company reviews, including photos and video, from Essentials at $29/month with up to 300 review invites. Start-Up adds review importing and Google Seller Ratings. Each top-level domain is a separate subscription.

**Choose it if** company reviews and Google Seller Ratings matter as much as product reviews.

**Not for:** several domains on one plan.

### 7. GoZen Testimonial — video testimonials inside Shopify

GoZen Testimonial is a Shopify app for video and text testimonials rather than order-based reviews. Starter at $13/month includes 3 video testimonials; Essential at $20/month has unlimited video. It was listed on the Shopify App Store on 18 May 2026 and had no merchant reviews when we checked.

**Choose it if** you want testimonials managed inside Shopify.

**Not for:** stores not on Shopify, or anyone who wants an app with a track record.

### 8. VideoTestimonials — brand video testimonials, on any store

VideoTestimonials is our product, and it is not a product review app. Customers record a video testimonial in the browser from a link you send after delivery, you approve and trim it, and it appears in a widget on your product pages or homepage, or on a Wall of Love. On Shopify, the widget goes in with a Custom Liquid section in the theme editor; it works the same on WooCommerce, BigCommerce or any other store builder. Starter is $24/month with unlimited video, not priced by orders. You can also import reviews you already have from Amazon, Google and Trustpilot to the Wall of Love.

**Choose it if** you want customers on video talking about your brand, for pages and ads, without per-order pricing.

**Not for:** star ratings on product pages or Google Shopping; use Judge.me or Loox for that, alongside us if you want both.

## What the bill looks like at 1,000 orders a month

Order-based pricing is the biggest difference between these apps once a store grows. At about 1,000 orders a month, from each vendor's published prices:

- **Judge.me** Awesome stays at $15/month, a flat price.
- **Stamped** Reviews is $99/month at 1,000 orders.
- **Okendo** Growth is $119/month, covering up to 1,500 orders.
- **Yotpo** Starter is $129/month at 1,000 orders.
- **Loox** Convert starts at $49.99/month; its Shopify App Store listing says 300 orders are included and each extra 300 cost $50.
- **Reviews.io** counts review invites rather than orders: up to 1,000 on Start-Up at $79/month.

VideoTestimonials does not count orders at all: Starter is $24/month however many customers you ask.

## Running a review app and a testimonial tool together

Many stores end up with both, because they answer different questions a shopper has.

| Where | What to show | From |
|---|---|---|
| Product page, near the price | Star rating and review count | Review app |
| Product page, below the fold | Photo and video product reviews | Review app |
| Product page, near Add to cart | One short brand video testimonial | Testimonial tool |
| Homepage | A carousel of customer videos about the brand | Testimonial tool |
| Ads and email | 15–30 second clips cut from testimonials | Testimonial tool |
| Search and Shopping results | Star ratings | Review app, through Google Shopping or rich snippets |

The review app proves that this product works for people like the shopper. The testimonial proves that the brand is worth buying from at all — which matters most for a first purchase, a higher price, or a product that is hard to judge from photos.

If budget allows only one, start with the review app on a store with many products and steady orders, and with video testimonials on a store selling a few considered products, a subscription or a service.

## How to get more video reviews

- **Ask after delivery**, when the product is in their hands, not at checkout.
- **One or two prompts**: "What did you buy it for?" and "How is it going?" are enough.
- **Offer a small reward** for a photo or video review if your app supports it — Loox includes a discount for photo reviews on its free plan — and disclose incentives where the review appears.
- **Show the videos you have** on the product page, so new customers see what a video review looks like.
- **Use the best clips everywhere**: product pages, ads, email and social. See [how to repurpose video testimonials](https://videotestimonials.video/blog/repurpose-video-testimonials).

## Which to pick

| If you need… | Pick… | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Free product video reviews on Shopify | Judge.me | Video reviews on its free plan |
| Photo-first, visual reviews | Loox | Built around visual reviews |
| Reviews plus loyalty and referrals | Okendo | Five connected apps |
| Reviews with Q&A and loyalty | Stamped | Reviews, Loyalty and Repeat products |
| Company reviews and Google Seller Ratings | Reviews.io | Seller Ratings on Start-Up |
| Testimonials inside Shopify | GoZen Testimonial | Shopify app, unlimited video on Essential |
| Brand video testimonials on any store | VideoTestimonials | Unlimited video, not priced by orders |

## Where VideoTestimonials fits

We are the pick for brand-level video — customers on camera saying why they buy from you — on any store, at a flat monthly price. We are not a product review app: for star ratings, product-page review lists and Google Shopping, Judge.me, Loox or Okendo are the right tools, and many stores run one of them next to us. ## Frequently asked questions

### What is the best video review app for Shopify?

Judge.me for most stores, because its free plan already includes unlimited photo and video reviews, and Awesome is $15/month. Loox if you want a visual, photo-first review display and can pay $49.99/month for video. Okendo for established brands that want reviews, loyalty and referrals together.

### Which review app has free video reviews?

Judge.me. Its Forever Free plan includes unlimited review requests and photo and video reviews. Loox's free Beginner plan has no video reviews; they start on Convert at $49.99/month.

### What is the difference between a product review and a video testimonial?

A product review is tied to an order and a product, shows star ratings on the product page and can feed Google Shopping. A video testimonial is a customer talking about your brand or results, not tied to a specific order, and works on any page or ad.

### How are ecommerce review apps priced?

Mostly by monthly orders. Okendo's Essential plan is $19/month for up to 200 orders, Stamped's Reviews is $23/month at 200 orders, and Yotpo's Starter is $15/month at the lowest volume. Judge.me and Loox use flat plans; VideoTestimonials is not priced by orders.

### Do review apps work outside Shopify?

Some do. Reviews.io collects product and company reviews for many ecommerce platforms. Judge.me, Loox, Okendo and Stamped are built around Shopify. VideoTestimonials works on any site that accepts an embed code, including Shopify through a Custom Liquid section.

### How do I get more video reviews from customers?

Ask after the product arrives, not at checkout; keep the request to one or two questions; offer a discount for a photo or video review if your app supports it, and disclose it; and show existing video reviews on the product page so customers see what you are asking for.
